Oh! I don't think the French are going to like this !! :giggle::giggle::giggle::giggle:

Well spaced toes !
:iconpaintedhouse:
I like that! I love the design.

Did you hear about the "doping" scandal that's going on right now!? They're saying the winner of the tour de France was using steroids! eeek!

The French are just mad because an American won their race for the 8th year in a row, making 11 out of the last 20 TdF victories American. :D

I'm glad you like the design. I was a bit iffy about it at first, but I wanted to incorporate toes. ;)

As for the winner of TdF using steroids - that's not what's going on. At the end of each stage of most big races random screen testing is done. UCI (which is kind of the cycling board) notified Landis (the winner) that his testosterone levels were high in proportion to his estrogen levels and that they were waiting for further results from a separate sample. He didn't test positive for steroids, per se. Using steroids can cause you to have high testosterone levels, but so can many things. For example, if you've just won an important stage of a prestigious bike race you could have high testosterone levels naturally. It could also be a result of some of the medications that Landis takes for hip pain (he's had hip replacement issues). Or it could be a combination of those and/or other things.

The doping scandal that kicked the top riders (Ullrich, Basso) out of the race before it started were named specifically for steroids by a Spanish newspaper, not by UCI. Separate issue altogether. Landis's results could mean doping, or it could mean not doping. The only way to find out is with more testing from the "B" sample.

Well I'm glad someone can tell me what's actually going on (and it's very good you do know :D) : I was watching one of those shows that are all like "We're gonna talk for twenty minutes with people who have never even met him, and tell you they're experts". I literally was waiting for twenty minutes for them to tell me what was going on, and when they were done, I had only caught a few relevant phrases: tour de france, american, and steroids :omg:

I hate shows like that. It seems like most every show these days is full of filler instead of actual content. Like, they just want a reason to flash pictures and throw around PhDs.
:iconlostheart:
About time to update the ID, huh?
Landis? Tour de France champion?
We'll see for how long he's going to keep the title?!
But other than that...lovely and colorful!

Yeah, I'm not sure how I feel about this Landis thing. I mean, I know pro cyclists dope, but c'mon. I was heartbroken when Jan got kicked off the tour, and I knew Hincapie didn't have him in it to win. Then a seemingly very nice guy who is the total opposite of lance armstrong in every way (ie not an asshole) wins and now this? I'm ready to be through with it altogether. Almost.
